The honest answer is 'it depends', but it depends on exactly six things. Here they are, with our real prices and a calculator so you can work it out yourself.

What goes into the price of a website: type, languages, content, upkeep.

Everyone who has asked for a website quote has been handed a range and no explanation of it. That is rarely evasion — the price genuinely depends on things the client does not know they need to mention. Here is what they are.

The six things that move the price

  1. Page count. A five-page brochure and a thirty-page corporate site are different work, even with the same design.
  2. Whether you sell. A shop adds a basket, payments, shipping, stock and tax settings — half a project on its own.
  3. How many languages. Each extra one means translation, separate URLs, hreflang, and twice the testing.
  4. Who writes the copy. Bring your own and you save; have us write it and it is a separate line.
  5. Template or from scratch. Working from a template is cheaper and faster, and also closer to your competitors.
  6. What happens after launch. A site with no upkeep ages within a year — plugins, certificates, backups.

The calculator below runs on our published prices. Tick what you need and you get the real range — not an invented number, but the same figures that sit on our services page.

1. What kind of site do you need
2. What to add
3. Monthly, if you want us to keep developing it

Pick a site type to see an estimate.

This is an indicative estimate based on our published prices, not a quote. The real figure depends on scope — page count, design complexity, integrations — and is fixed in writing before we start.

Why it is a range, not a number

Because each of those six has more detail inside it. 'Online store' can mean twenty products and one shipping option, or two thousand products across three warehouses wired into an accounting system. One is three weeks; the other is three months.

If someone gives you an exact price before asking a single question, they have either understood the project by telepathy or they will revise it later.

Where people overpay

  • Hosting bought through an intermediary. You pay a markup and lose control; register the domain and hosting in your own name.
  • Features 'for later'. Anything that does not solve a problem you have today can wait — and often turns out never to have been needed.
  • Redesigning pages nobody opens. Check Analytics for which pages get read before paying to redesign all of them.
  • A maintenance retainer with no report. If you are not told what was done, you are paying for hope.

Where saving costs more

Three places where a hundred euros saved comes back multiplied: speed (a slow site loses visitors before it has shown them anything), the mobile version (where most of your traffic is), and the SEO basics during the build — retrofitting them costs more than doing them at the time.
